Ascend’s Jeremy Merritt chairs international trade compliance conference
Jeremy Merritt, senior manager of Ascend Performance Materials’ Office of International Trade and Compliance, served as chairman of the 5th Annual International Trade Compliance conference in Chicago on April 15-17. This was Merritt’s second consecutive year in the role.
The industry conference brings together leading international trade practitioners to discuss the latest changes to trade regulations and to share the best business trade practices.
As chairman, Merritt was responsible for welcoming conference delegates, giving opening and closing remarks and introducing each speaker. In addition, he presented on Incoterms, which are rules that define the responsibilities of sellers and buyers for the delivery of goods under contract.
Merritt said the conference is a great opportunity to grow professionally, network with compliance peers and learn different strategies that will help make Ascend’s compliance program better and stronger.
