Ascend Performance Materials to Present at 5th Conference & Exhibition of Autoparts Manufacturing

Ascend Performance Materials will deliver a presentation on its PA66 resin products for the automotive industry at the 5th Conference & Exhibition of Autoparts Manufacturing this week in Queretaro, Mexico. The presentation will be delivered by Phil Jeszke, Ascend’s global auto segment leader, at 11:00am on Wednesday in the show’s conference room at the Queretaro Centro de Congresos.

Jeszke’s presentation will include the following customer success stories:

  • The SPE® Innovation Award-winning push-to-release fasteners used in the 2015 Ford Mustang, which were manufactured with Ascend’s Vydyne® PA66;
  • Ascend’s HR and HT grades of Vydyne® PA66, which offer enhanced hydrolysis and temperature resistance for manufacturers of under-the-hood automobile components; and
  • The 23 grades of Vydyne® PA66 offered by Ascend specifically for use in cable ties and fasteners. Approximately 50 cable ties are used in modern automobiles.

“Ascend’s fully-integrated PA66 manufacturing takes place entirely near the Gulf of Mexico, which allows us to offer unparalleled security of supply to our customers in Latin America,” said Juan Toro, business development manager. “Ascend is one of the leading producers of PA66 resin to serve the global automotive industry, and as manufacturing grows rapidly in Mexico, we’re investing in our existing customer relationships and expanding our customer base rapidly.”

Visitors to the trade show can meet with members of Ascend’s sales, technical and communications teams at booth IM3. The show runs from August 23-25.
