Ascend Performance Materials to exhibit at ITB Advanced Thermal Management 2016

Ascend Performance Materials, one of the world’s largest fully-integrated producers of nylon 6,6 resin, will be showcasing its high-temperature and hydrolysis-resistant products for the automotive industry at the ITB Advanced Thermal Management 2016 conference on Friday, April 15.

Ascend Performance Materials manufactures nylon 6,6 resin used in cooling systems, interior and exterior systems, powertrain and underhood components throughout modern automobiles. The company is also one of the leading providers of nylon 6,6 fiber to the airbag and tire cord industries.

Temperature-resistant nylon 6,6 products allow auto manufacturers to replace metal components with lighter-weight plastic components. Light weighting is a process widely used globally to make vehicles more fuel efficient.

“We continue to invest in research and development to better serve our customers in the automobile industry,” said Phil Jeszke, global automotive segment leader. “The global auto industry is facing a number of regulatory and technological changes in the coming years, and we look forward to helping our customers stay ahead of the curve.”

The ITB Advanced Thermal Management conference will take place at The Baronette Renaissance Detroit-Novi Hotel in Novi, Michigan on Friday, April 15. Ascend Performance Materials will be located at Booth #11.

Ascend Performance Materials will present a research paper at the ITB Plastic Powertrain Parts 2016 conference on June 2, also in Novi, Michigan. At that conference, Dr. Ryan Hensarling of Ascend will speak about the company’s hydrolysis-resistant and temperature-resistant nylon 6,6 grades for the automotive industry.
