Expert presentation at Plastic Engine Parts China to showcase emerging electric-based powertrains
Ascend Performance Materials, the world’s largest fully integrated producer of polyamide 66 resin, will showcase its expanding portfolio of PA66 solutions for automotive applications at two industry exhibitions this week in Shanghai.
David Liu, Ascend’s technology manager for Asia, will give a presentation on emerging electric-based powertrains at Plastic Engine Parts China 2017 on Oct. 25. Liu’s talk will provide an analysis of the market and an introduction to Ascend’s Vydyne® J series.
“Electric vehicles, which are seeing increased demand in China, are producing a growing need for polymers capable of meeting regulatory and market requirements for performance, reliability and safety,” Liu said. “Ascend has developed new grades, including its Vydyne J series, to satisfy these market needs.”
Ascend experts also will be on-site exhibiting the company’s growing family of Vydyne PA66-based compounds. The company will exhibit the following day at Automotive Fuel Systems China 2017.
At both shows, attendees will have access to learn more about Vydyne compounds, which are used in numerous powertrain components, including cylinder head covers, turbocharged system components, radiator end tanks, carbon canisters and other parts that require high performance in harsh environments as well as good processability.
“Our products are helping solve automotive industry challenges by helping improve performance and comfort while also increasing fuel efficiency,” Liu said.
In addition to the Vydyne J series, Ascend also produces the glass-filled, heat-stabilized Vydyne H series; the best-in-class hydrolysis resistant Vydyne HR series; and the Vydyne HT series, which performs well against long-term heat exposure, making it ideal for turbo-charged systems.
